Job Description

• 10-15 years proven experience in delivering and supporting enterprise-class services
• Minimum CCA in XenDesktop 7 and/or XenApp 7.5
• Experience in Citrix Netscaler
• Building and designing Citrix POC environment
• Experience designing and delivering Citrix, Cloud or hybrid based solutions
• Skills in contributing to technical roadmaps for technologies supported by End users.
• High level understanding of all EUC technology areas
• Consulting experience in a mix of technologies, including Virtualisation, Citrix, SCCM, Active Directory, Azure, Office 365 or other End User Computing disciplines (not necessarily all)
• Customer focused, confident and articulate with lots of experience in stakeholder meetings and presentations
• Able to work closely with sales and engineering teams around the globe
• Good presentation and documentation of High Level and low-level designs
• Assist in mentoring of junior delivery consultants
• Assist in co-ordinating and facilitating Technical Days where required
• Participate in on call rota for technical issues out of standard office hours
This is a consulting role, concentrating on the delivery of EUC strategies and technologies to customers. The ideal candidate must have high level knowledge of a range of EUC technologies and be able to discuss these with customers with a view to creating a strategic roadmap or EUC design to meet their needs. The candidate should have specific experience in many areas, although will be able to gather assistance from the rest of the consulting pool to create a EUC vision and infrastructure design. The consultant should then be able to oversee the implementation of this design, interacting with both the customer and internal engineering teams to ensure successful project completion.

The candidate must be confident in meeting customers, gathering their requirements and answering their technical questions. They must also have strong documentation and presentation skills to support the delivery of designs through customer review. They must also coordinate with other consultants to cover knowledge gaps and work closely with offshore engineering teams to ensure that designs are properly implemented.


• Troubleshooting Incidents and Problems raised on the Service Desk at all levels
• Ensuring customers and 3rd parties are kept up to date
• Proactive ownership of Incidents and Problems
• Providing and documenting resolution fixes
• Share knowledge and assist in development of Technical skillsets and processes.
• Previous experience in a Service Desk \ Technical Support environment, preferably with Managed Services experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and methodology. A logical approach to fault finding and root cause analysis
• Understanding of ITIL methodology particularly Incident, Problem and Change
• Use of troubleshooting tools such as Resource Monitor, Process Monitor, Citrix EdgeSight, Microsoft SCOM, Wireshark etc.
• Minimum CCA in XenDesktop 7 and/or XenApp 7.5
• A good knowledge of the following technologies is essential:
o Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2
o Microsoft Windows XP, 7
o Citrix XenApp 4.x/5.x/6.x
o Citrix XenDesktop 4.x/5.x
o Active Directory and Group Policy
o DNS and DHCP
o Microsoft Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services
• An understanding of the following is required:
o Microsoft profiles types
o Basic networking principles
o Basic SAN/iSCSI knowledge
• Assist in co-ordinating and facilitating Technical Days where required
• Assist in mentoring of junior delivery consultants
• Participate in on call rota for technical issues out of standard office hours
• Provide regular updates to the Technical Support Team Leader
• Experience in the following would be beneficial:
o AppSense Environment Manager/Desktop Now
o Citrix User Profile Manager
o Citrix Provisioning Services (desirable)
o Microsoft Hyper-V
o Citrix XenServer (desirable)
o VMware ESX/vSphere
o Microsoft App-V (desirable)
